The Project Social & Nature aims at developing a “New Culture of Climate Change and of its impacts in Europe”. Through theory and activities, Social & Nature courses should encourage and help social workers to better prepare to their target groups to take part in the challenge of fighting against climate change and to anticipate the adverse effects of climate change on their life.
Two courses are proposed aiming at:
- Understanding the phenomenon and its main issues for their public targets’ awareness raising > Course 1 – Climatic change: consequences, mitigation and adaptation
- Engaging local networks and stakeholders to propose collective answers to the issue > Course 2 – Social cohesion through collective Climate action
Course 1 and its 4 training modules are totally connected to Course 2 on social cohesion through collective projects: once social workers are more familiar with the issues of climate change, they will learn how to engage the civil society and public actors in collective projects.
